SOP: Autodesk Sitemetric Partner Card

Steps to generate a public dashboard URL and embed Sitemetric reports in BIM 360

Overview

This SOP outlines the process for setting up the Autodesk BIM 360 Partner Card integration, which allows customers to embed Sitemetric reports and dashboards directly into their BIM 360 Project Home screen.

Getting Started

Step 1: Contact the Customer

Reach out to the customer to determine which dashboard or report they would like to embed in their Autodesk BIM360 dashboard.

Good to know: Multiple dashboards can be embedded if the customer desires.

Step 2: Identify Available Reports

Michael/the reporting team can provide a complete list of available dashboards. A good starting point is any dashboards already available in the app under the Reports section.

Step 3: Generate the Public URL

Once the customer decides which dashboards to embed, the reporting team will create and share the public URL for that report.

Example URL format:

⚠️ Important: Provide this URL to the customer—they will need it during the configuration process outlined below.

What is the Autodesk BIM 360 Partner Card?

By adding the Sitemetric Partner Card to your Autodesk BIM 360 Project Home screen, you can embed any Sitemetric report or dashboard directly in your BIM 360 dashboard.

Adding the Sitemetric Partner Card

Follow these steps to add the card to your BIM360 Dashboard:

  1. Open Project Home in BIM 360.
  2. Click on Customize next to the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on the Card Library button which will appear in the same place.
  4. A panel will open on the right-hand side. Click on Partner Cards in the Filters view.
  5. All available partner cards will be shown. Find Sitemetric and tick the checkmark in the box.
  6. Click on Add Card in the lower right corner.
  7. The Sitemetric card will show up in your BIM360 Dashboard. The view might scroll down automatically, depending on how many cards are already displayed, and you will see the empty Sitemetric card that can be repositioned according to your requirements.

Configuring the Sitemetric Card

Follow these steps to configure the card with your report:

  1. When you first add the Sitemetric partner card, it will show up empty.
  2. Click on Configure to make the required adjustments to show your Sitemetric report or dashboard.
  3. Copy the link to the Sitemetric report or dashboard you would like to embed. This link will have been provided to you by Sitemetric Support.
  4. Paste the link into the Partner URL field in the dialog.
  5. Fill in a custom Card Title as desired (optional).
  6. You can move the card around on your Dashboard to change its position.
  7. Click on the SAVE button to update the card's configuration.
  8. A final click on SAVE in the upper right corner of your BIM 360 dashboard will make sure that all changes are saved and the Sitemetric card will keep its position on your BIM 360 Project Home screen.
